I’m ReAnna Zyla!  I am a Traditional Holistic Midwife, Doula, & Lactation Consultant. I am also an herbalist and certified in Ayurvedic Medicine, I am also certified in Neonatal Resuscitation.  I offer guidance, resources, and personalized care from preconception thru the postpartum period.

Women have a blueprint for labor and birth- our bodies instinctively know what to do in labor when given freedom and support. I am here to inspire you with peace and confidence, and a deep understanding of both the sacred and the science of birth. I thrive in guiding women with cutting edge practices to support the childbearing year in robust health and happiness. value the importance of your sacred experience as I have personally birthed 5 healthy babies + two losses myself, including a stillborn.

I offer education, resources, and access to testing & technology if desired or needed. I have deep respect for you- I know you are smart and are feeling this experience-you have desires and intuitions that will influence your direction. My passion and life’s calling are to support you from pregnancy and birth through postpartum and beyond. 

I serve my local community of Vicksburg Mississippi and the surrounding area! I also offer virtual support, which is a wonderful way to get an amazing, personalized experience. I offer so many different services and packages with rich personal support in your childbearing year.

I’ve served women in birth for more than seventeen years and completed my doula training in 2006 and my Traditional Midwifery training in 2014. I work through a private contract, so I am able to serve the woman and NOT other agencies or agendas. My care offers guidance using the Sacred and the Science to give you the knowledge to make your own personal decisions in pregnancy for birth and beyond!

I also serve women worldwide in the Art of Sacred Postpartum with both live and online training and support. The ancient arts of postpartum healing care include ceremonial, herbal, and ayurvedic support in the first weeks following birth. I also support clients locally and in the central Mississippi region, with personal sacred postpartum care. I will travel anywhere for birth support when I am requested , however my travel expenses must be provided by the client.

Being that I am a mother of 5 amazing kiddos and I have personally had nearly every birth experience there is including, unmedicated hospital birth, induction, c-section, VBAC, HBAC, stillbirth, posterior birth, and breech birth. I draw strength from my personal experience and I believe that God blessed me with these experiences so I could serve women more effectively!

As a Traditional Holistic Midwife, I offer pregnancy, birth and postpartum support through private contract with Zophia Birth Worx. I support your journey by keeping YOU at the center of your experience. Through personal prenatal home visits, I offer education, clinical, emotional and spiritual guidance for your home birth. Women who have the desire to touch their primal instincts in birth are changing the current fear paradigm to one of power and control. Women own birth, and I am excited to share my knowledge and passions with you! I follow the Midwives model of care which you can read below. 

The Midwives Model of Care includes:

  • Monitoring the physical, psychological, and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle

  • Providing the mother with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support

  • Minimizing technological interventions

  • Identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention

  • The application of this woman-centered model of care has been proven to reduce the incidence of birth injury, trauma, and cesarean section.

* For "higher" risk pregnancies including VBA2C, Twins, Breech etc. I prefer collaboration with an OBgyn or another Midwife to ensure the safety of mother & baby/ies at all times.
